Dear Astrologer,
Thank you for the wonderful content served on your website. I have had great pleasure of reading in detail some well-written ones. I believe that Karma influence our present and the future that is to follow. But how can they affect what is destined to me? If I am destined for greatness and riches, how can bad planetary influences or even God take it away? What is Karma, Fate and what is my Destiny. Pls enlighten.
Regards, Brian.

Dear Brian and all,

Fate and Destiny
Fate and Destiny are words that are used interchangeably at times that suit us. Karma is a modern day representation for the self-conscious class. but have you ever wondered what is that makes our fate, is destined to happen to us and the Karmas involved in the process?
During childhood, we are prodded and egged by our anxious parents who try to fulfill their un-served and unfulfilled destinies through us. But as we grow older and the fear of the vast unknown and the yet-so-little done, sets in, we are hungry and thirsty for the knowledge of-
“Who am I”,
“What am I doing here?”,
What makes me different from the guy/gal sitting in the next cubicle?”,
“What is my calling?”,
“Am I headed in the right direction, at all?”.
The answers and the direction lies within, deeply rooted in our upbringing, our karmic actions of the past, present and future and the series of events, that seem to happen on their own, thus revealing our final destination. They are in fact are structured and orchestrated by- if you are a theist- THE ONE ABOVE and if you are an atheist- Your own cumulative actions and synchronized thought process.

Let me explain;
As students we all studied in the same school and ate and played together, yet 20 years later, one is successful banker, another an investment broker overseas, another a primary teacher, another an unsuccessful salesman, another committed suicide down the years, another inherited his fathers business, got married on time, has a couple of children and is seemingly well settled.
Where are you in this scene? You are sitting in your life, leading it to the best of your present capabilities, yet constantly looking at others seemingly easier and successful lives and wondering- if all of you studied the same and interacted on the same plane, why are you out of the rat pack?
You had the destiny, my friend but Fate worked in a different way for you. Remember the time when your destiny proposed to give you a raise for a job out of town, involving touring and one-to-one with clients, but you turned it down for a secure office environment, with the new eye-candy around you. Your Fate, who is in fact your guardian Angel, must have prodded you to take another shot at the decision, but your senses overrode the offer to settle in the city, with its luxuries and comforts and you turned down the out-of-town offer, that was in fact Destiny disguised as a non-viable offer.
The onus and responsibility of finding our destinies is in our hands alone, people, and situations on the way up or down do assist and help us to reach it, but ultimately clawing the way and making new inroads to reach our true calling is entirely our own. Do not confuse this with – I was not fated to reach my destiny. Everyone is fated to each their destiny, only some reach faster, quickly, efficiently, with ease or difficulty, while some reach and do not realize. The only way to determine that you have reached your destiny is that you should feel like you are in a “FULL BODY SPA“. Comfortable, easy, breathable, relaxed, out of this world, that nothing can ruffle your feathers and above all, the feeling that you are having the time of your LIFE.
That is Destiny!
What is Karma? Karmas are adult thoughtful actions and hence when you do something bad somewhere down the line you should expect to be repaid in full and visa verse. Basically, you have to think of your life(s) as a giant double entry profit and loss ledger … in the end all must balance. Your past actions actually dictate the nature of future outcomes (CONTROL).
Karma simply put is the balancing of our energies, our aura, that is determined by the positive and negative actions that we perform around us. It is the balancing of our human form- equilibrium.
As we are born, we are destined for greatness, fated to reach it and karmically connected with each other for good and bad deeds.
Imagine this: You de-weed the lawn, put manure, dig out the soil for the air and moisture to permeate and plant colorful and pleasant flowering bulbs, now imagine this with your life- we should be doing the same to our lives and souls. Karma simply means you get what you give. So send some warm and happy vibes into the world and one day they will all come back to you.
Perform a regular Karmic test of self- ask questions that are uncomfortable to even imagine, let alone answer, then seek answers and solutions, cleanse the hurt, envy, greed, spite and hate. Plant love, comfort soothing balm, indifference(if it helps), and sensitize to the surrounding.
